I would like to run UBCD4WIN from a thumb drive and be able to save the updated virus definitions and other updates to the drive so that I only have to update once and can fix a computer that can't connect to the internet.

would there be a way to use the original UBCD USB converter and just use the USBCD4WIN files?

You can use UBUSB.exe to put UBCD4Win on a usb drive (it's in the same directory that UBCD4Win is installed to).

I have no idea about that.
