Read this entire thread again. I don't think it's a drive letter assignment problem.

I don't want to guess anymore based on the information that you've given so far. Maybe someone else can help you.

Ok,

If i try to install XP on XP, what'll happens? Will my files and programm still be there? Or will i have 2 system of the same partition?

Doing a parallel install like this will break your existing XP installation so I would suggest backing up your data so you can format the partition and do a clean install instead.

Have you tried Registry Restore Wizard to restore your registry to a time before this all happened?

Don't be dense... using the Registry Restore Wizard WAS the recommendation
Plan A is always more effective when the device you are working on understands that Plan B involves either a large hammer or screwdriver....

Sorry if my english is not good, but i speak french and not english.... What i meant was: When you use Registry Restore Wizard, do you have to do something special, or it is simple and there's no precaution to take before using it.
