I just created my first bootable USB drive with UBCD4win on it. First I ran the UBUSB.exe program to set up my thumb drive. I use the default settings and did not modify anything except selecting the location of the BartPE folder, which is in the UBCD4WIN install directory. This process took some time and when it was done it had used up about 800MB of a 2GB flash drive. I then copied my UBCD4WIN Build ISO file (718MB) onto the flash drive. So now there is over 15.GB of space used on my 2GB drive. This seems like and awful lot. Did I do it right? Thanks

Why did you copy the ISO to the Flash Drive? What instructions did you read that said to do that? Just remove the ISO and try just booting the flash drive. The USB cannot read ISO files like a CD can (and a cd only can is you ensure you burn it bootable and not as a data disc).

Thanks. I followed some instructions, I found somewhere (can't remember). It said to run UBUSB.exe and then copy the ISO file to the flash drive. So I did. So you are saying that I don't need the ISO file. OK! I like that. Oh! I meant 1.5GB not 15.GB. I got big fingers. HA!

When using UBUSB.EXE everything needed to boot is copied to the USB device by the program.
You do not need to add the ISO file, but when you are creating your build with ubcd4winbuilder.exe make sure you have enabled "Make ISO Image" or none of the postprocessing scripts will run.

UNDERSTOOD, and oh course I already knew that but thought it was funny because I've got some rather large hands myself. Finding a keyboard I can use comfortably is not an easy thing to do and certainly ups the price of replacing a bad keyboard.
