Anybody got a monochrome/vector version of a UBCD4Win logo? I would love to print it on a CD with my thermal printer but I'd have to do a bit of photochoppin' to get the image to look anything decent against those backgrounds... ^_^

I highly doubt it, but I could try and use my Paint.NET skills to make something workable for you, lol. ;)

Here's the CD layout app, if it helps. It offers threshold conversion, and error diffusion (makeshift greyscale) conversion for color/grey images in each area. The native resolution is 192x378 (0.96in x 1.89in at 200dpi) (WxH) for the sides and 529x192 (2.645x0.96in at 200dpi) for the top/bottom. :yes:

I'll have to do it tomorrow while at work as I don't know if I'll have time tonight. I may even just make a whole new CD cover... who knows. :)

If someone is actually working on making a great label, imo: plz make the words bigger xD Maybe you'd have to include less features or something but...can't believe nobodies mentioned the tiny letter size yet!

If I can get my next boot CD *working* maybe I'll give the label a shot as well :P

Here is a label I made recently. I have in in several colors. I have created it in gimp and I have the .xcf which contains the different colors as layers. The text is also saved as layers and can be edited. I would be happy to share the file.

OK today was slow so I had some extra time on my hands. I have created some more labels, there should be something for everyone. I am showing 7 of the 42 new different labels I've created.

I have also included a link to the gimp XCF file which has the first six backgrounds in my earlier post as well as the 42 new backgrounds. I have also fixed the XCF file so that the Version # can be changed as the Version of UBCD4Win changes. Also any of the text, other than the text in the logo, can be edited as needed for a custom image. If you are familiar with working in Gimp, you can set The layers you want as visible and then save the image as a jpg. The XCF file is in zip format and is still almost 100MB so it may take a little bit to download it.

However, the service you are using....YUCK. I thought I was having a flashback because of all the windows popping up at me!!!
Contact me if you need file hosting, I'd rather deal with the increased bandwidth as long as it saves our users from "questionable" sites and popups.

I have moved the image files to a temporary website which doesn't use the popups. I still have the XCF file on Media Fire.
